Bluberry Pie Eating Contest
Live Bee Beard Performance
Bee Friendly Planting Corner
Better Bees, Better Berries!
Join us this August at Dr.Bee’s Honeyland Canada in Pitt meadows to celebrate the importance of bees and taking care of the environment! Come learn about this all-important topic while taking the chance to enjoy that last bit of summer sun before fall comes with our activity-filled community event.
Learn more about bees by taking part in our free guided tours which includes a live bee hive opening! Also come see what you can do to keep bees healthy and support our planet by heading over to our planting corner to take home your very own free bee-friendly flower. There will also be free pony rides and a petting zoo if you want to take that one step further connecting with nature.
But we’re not only here to learn, we can’t forget to have fun! Visit our main stage to enjoy a lineup of performers and local favourites, including Dilly the clown and Juno-nominated children’s singer-songwriter Ginalina. Don’t forget to register for our blueberry pie eating contest and Sylvan Learning Centre spelling bee.* Last but not least, be sure to stick around for a LIVE bee beard performance at the end of both days.
*Spelling Bee available for students entering grades 1-4 in September
