We are a growing company and seeking flexible and physically capable individuals to join our beekeeping team as an Apiarist.

This position is responsible for day-to-day needs of maintaining beehives and a beekeeping operation. This is an entry-level seasonal job that runs from the beginning of March to the end of November.

Responsibilities

  • Beekeeping field work including feeding, super addition, and honey collection
  • Moving bee hives to and from various farm locations using forklifts and large trucks
  • Assembly and repair of beekeeping equipment/machinery

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial beekeeping experience
  • Availability during the beekeeping season (March to November) and early/late hours
  • Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent
  • Appropriate physical state for field work
  • Preferred experience in beekeeping and operating forklifts/large trucks
  • High school completion or equivalent

Compensation/Benefits

  • $15/hr, accommodation available for rent if requested
  • Full season completion bonus available after consistent work for a full season cycle
  • Eligible for comprehensive benefit program after completion of a full season cycle

We are seeking an experienced and independent individual to lead and manage our beekeeping operation as a Beekeeping Manager.

This position is responsible for day-to-day beekeeping operations management, supervision of the beekeeping team, and coordinating with our in-house honeybee expert for hive management. This is a mid-level seasonal job that runs from the beginning of March to the end of November and has potential for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and scheduling of daily beekeeping operations
  • Management and supervision of existing beekeeping team
  • Finding and screening new beekeepers if needed
  • Beekeeping field work to maintain and monitor the health of bee hives
  • Moving bee hives to and from various farm locations using forklifts and large trucks
  • Traveling to the Alberta farm location during the summer season

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of beekeeping experience
  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Availability during the beekeeping season (March to November) and early/late hours
  • Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent with self-transportation to work
  • Appropriate physical state for field work
  • Experience in operating forklifts/large trucks

Compensation/Benefits

  • Starting salary of $19/hr, accommodations available for rent if requested
  • Full season completion bonus available after consistent work for full season cycle and will be adjusted based on beekeeping team performance
  • Eligible for full comprehensive benefits program after training period (3 months)

We are seeking a self-starting and motivated individual to join our Honeyland Canada agri-tourism/production team as a General Helper.

This entry-level position is responsible for production work and facility maintenance. This job also provides growth through additional tourism work.

Responsibilities

  • Production of various beehive products and health products
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the production space and other facility spaces
  • Process and package sales orders/deliveries
  • Learn basic honeybee knowledge and lead guided tours
  • Miscellaneous production and maintenance tasks

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Class 5 Driver’s licence with self-transportation to work
  • Capable of handling repetitive tasks
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new tasks
  • Effective communication skills and basic computer/technology literacy

Compensation/Benefits

  • Starting salary of $12/hr with rapid potential raises based on performance

We are  seeking motivated and service driven individuals to join our retail team as a Sales Associate.

This entry-level position is mainly responsible for promoting our products and providing an excellent customer experience. We have a very large Chinese customer base and candidates should expect to have extensive interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Educating customers about our products and maintaining a high standard of customer service
  • Opening and/or closing of the retail store
  • Operating the cash register and POS system to complete sales
  • Sending inventory requests to the production team
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the retail space

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Fluent in Mandarin and preferred basic English communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and works well in a team
  • Basic technology literacy and comfortable with sales software
  • Related sales experience and/or industry experience is preferred
  • Able to transit to Burnaby and/or Richmond retail store locations for work

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead our retail team as a Retail Manager.

This management-level position is mainly responsible for management of our retail team and maintaining a high standard of customer service. This position will also coordinate with the marketing team to communicate customer needs/wants and execute promotions/events.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise retail locations and resolve any day-to-day issues even when not on site
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to execute promotions/events
  • Understanding customer needs and relaying those needs to upper management to continually improve our retail experience
  • Manage, motivate, and instruct sales associates to improve sales
  • Screen and interview potential sales associates with HR
  • Generating monthly reports and relaying any retail team needs to upper management

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of sales management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient independent problem solving and adapting to various situations
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in word processing and communication software
  • Able to commute to Burnaby and Richmond retail locations as well as future metro Vancouver locations
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
